Hedgefield House is a stunning Georgian Mansion House, set in award winning gardens of approx. 4 acres. The guest accommodation is perfectly situated in the North East, within 4 miles of Newcastle City Centre, yet near to Hadrian's Wall and the Northumberland Countryside. Ideal for walkers, cyclists and the Metro Centre Shopping Complex.

The guest accommodation offers bed and breakfast in Ryton, on the edge of Northumberland, two miles from A1M, two miles from Gateshead Metro Centre and four miles from Newcastle City Centre, with its beautiful architecture, ground breaking theatre and vibrant musical entertainment.
Hedgefield House has a colourful history, prior to being used as a bed and breakfast. Hedgefield House dates back to 1804, with documented evidence that it was the first home in Britain to have a telephone installed. In 1877, the inventor of the telephone, Alexander Graham Bell, made the first experimental telephone call to an underground site, the local coal mine.
Near to Hedgefield House, in Ryton, Blaydon and Throckley, there is a wide choice of restaurants. A personal chauffeur driven limousine can be provided for that 'special occasion' or to transport you to the nearby Northumberland countryside or to Hadrian's Wall.
